A speech bubble showing an eye inside. When using text-to-speech on Apple platforms, this emoji is read aloud as: &quot;Eye in speech bubble representing anti-bullying campaign&quot;. This emoji was released in conjunction with the Ad Council for the <a href="http://www.wired.com/2015/10/i-am-a-witness-emoji-ios-9/">I Am A Witness</a> campaign.

A left-facing speech bubble, which was included in Unicode 7.0, but not considered a standard addition for the purposes of emoji presentation.

Left Speech Bubble

A cartoon-styled representation of a collision. Depicted as a star-like, orange-and-yellow fiery burst, generally with one point extending to the bottom right, as if from the source of the collision.

May be used to represent various types of bangs, explosions, or crashes. Like <a href="/fire/">🔥 Fire</a> and <a href="/hundred-points/">💯 Hundred Points</a>, commonly used to represent something is excellent or exciting in some way.

Apple implements a version of 💥 Collision in its <a href="/firecracker/">🧨 Firecracker</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="/camera-with-flash/">📸 Camera With Flash</a>.

Collision Symbol

A large cloud-like shape more commonly known as a thought bubble.

Used to represent thinking, or thoughts, and commonly used in&nbsp;comics to display the thoughts of a drawn character. May also be used to represent a dream, or daydream.

Thought Balloon

A balloon on a string, as decorates a <a href="/birthday/">birthday</a> party. Generally depicted in red, though WhatsApp&rsquo;s is pink and Google&rsquo;s orangish-red.

Commonly used to convey congratulations and celebration, especially when wishing someone&nbsp;a happy birthday.

<a href="/microsoft/windows-10/balloon/">Microsoft</a> and <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/balloon/">Samsung&#39;s</a> balloons were previously blue;&nbsp;<a href="/softbank/2000/balloon/">SoftBank&#39;s</a>&nbsp;was shown floating in the sky.

Balloon

A hand with thumb and&nbsp;little (pinky) finger extended, making a traditional&nbsp;<a href="/telephone-receiver/" title="📞 Telephone Receiver">phone</a>-like shape.&nbsp;May be used in conjunction with a face to suggest&nbsp;&ldquo;call me&rdquo; (please).

Not to be confused with the <a href="/sign-of-the-horns/" title="🤘 Sign Of The Horns">sign of the horn</a>. Commonly used as a&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaka_sign">shaka sign</a>, which is a similar gesture at a different orientation.

Call Me Hand

A red symbol found in Anime/Manga and&nbsp;used&nbsp;to represent the&nbsp;<a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CrossPoppingVeins">veins popping</a> on a very angry person.

Also&nbsp;used in other&nbsp;comic books to indicate a punch landed, perhaps next to the words &ldquo;Bam&rdquo; or &ldquo;Pow&rdquo;.

Anger Symbol

The silhouette of a person speaking. Faces left-to-right, with lines demonstrating speech being expelled. Sometimes used in the context of shouting&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mansplaining">mansplaining</a>.

A round, black, cartoon-styled hole, as a manhole or a <a href="/flag-in-hole/">hole (cup) in golf</a>. May be used to represent various types of literal or figurative holes, e.g., black holes, rabbit holes.

A form of <a href="/speech-balloon/" title="💬 Speech Balloon">speech balloon</a> used with angular edges, used to denote angry speech in comics.

Right Anger Bubble

A laptop personal computer. Depicted as a black or gray device, opened to show a dark or blue screen, keyboard, and touchpad.

Commonly used for various content concerning computer technology, work, and activity.

Previous designs resembled a <a href="/desktop-computer/">desktop computer</a>&nbsp;(e.g., <a href="/apple/ios-9.0/laptop/">iMac</a>) on many platforms, hence its Unicode name of&nbsp;Personal Computer. Apple&rsquo;s design now resembles a MacBook.

Personal Computer

A mobile phone (cell phone), as used to text, check social media, or take <a href="/selfie/">selfies</a>. Depicted as a black or gray smartphone with a generic blue screen or multicolored app icons. Commonly used for various content concerning mobile phones, technology, and communication.

The designs from Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Samsung resemble phones offered by their respective companies, e.g., iPhone. WhatsApp&rsquo;s design features a night sky as its wallpaper, displaying the time as 9:34.

<a href="/au-kddi/type-a-2/mobile-phone/">Early designs</a> for the mobile phone emoji from au by KDDI resembled a traditional&nbsp;<a href="/telephone-receiver/">telephone receiver</a>, and vice versa, before having their codepoints swapped in later releases.

Mobile Phone

A <a href="/mobile-phone/">mobile phone</a> (cell phone) with a <a href="/right-arrow/">rightward&nbsp;arrow</a> pointed at it from the left. Intended to indicate an incoming call or message, but used to represent mobile phones, technology, and communication more generally.

Arrow color varies, but is often blue. Vendors implement the same design as <a href="/mobile-phone/">📱 Mobile Phone</a>.

A symbol for email. Depicted as the back of an envelope imprinted with a capital letter E (for electronic) or @ (at) sign.&nbsp;Commonly used as an icon before an email address.

The envelope is generally white with the E or @ symbols shown in&nbsp;blue. Apple, Google, and Twitter&#39;s&nbsp;designs feature the letter E, while Microsoft, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Samsung&rsquo;s the @ sign.

Google&#39;s&nbsp;envelope was <a href="/google/android-8.0/e-mail/">previously</a> yellow in color.
